A Nightmare on Sydney Road: A multi-act Halloween event that embraces the gaudy theatrics of low-budget horror, supported by some of our favourite local punk/rock bands.

A Nightmare on Sydney Road took place on the 31st of October 2024 at the Bergy Bandroom, where our lineup performed to a sold-out venue of over 200 attendees.

Terrible costumes, cheesy props, and tacky puns served as the backdrop to a night that aimed to promote local talent and embrace the charm of a purposefully over-the-top holiday.

By combining the raw energy of Melbourne’s live music with the “spirited” ambience of Halloween, this event seeked to provide a horrifyingly fun experience for attendees, enhancing engagement with the community and our local businesses.

One of the main events of the night was the “Worst Costume Competition”, where prizes were awarded to the most horrifyingly funny outfits chosen by our talented performers. A special thanks to our wonderful sponsors; Hawkers, Heaps Normal and Pigeon Tatts for your generous donations.

All proceeds from the event went directly to the performing artists and the talented team that worked behind the scenes.
